About Me

I am an Audio Engineer, Musician, Photographer and Videographer.

Since a very young age, music has played a big part in my life. At the age of nine I was given the lead role in the school musical and was awarded a music scholarship when I moved on to secondary school. I was chosen to sing with the senior school choir immediately and often performed solo. I have had formal tuition in Voice, Piano, Cornet and more recently guitar.

Being so involved with music from an early age gave me the chance to explore the technical side of thing. I was very fortunate enough to have the opportunity of using a neighbour’s home studio. Here I had chance to really understand how music is created and I composed and wrote my first song.

I began stuyding music technology at school when I was seventeen and quickly became known as ‘The Sound Engineer’ to be relied upon for school productions.

At the same time I became a ‘Rock Tutor’ at ‘The Witchwood School of Rock’. I mentored children and young adults helping them write and perform their own material. Leading on from this I ran the sound for the youth musical, ‘Stand Tall.’

As the live sound engineer for regular gigs it was a natural progression for me to run the sound for stage at local festivals such as ‘Alex James Presents Harvest.’

Through my contacts at The Witchwood School of Rock I joined the pop-punk band ‘TenTwentySix’ as the bassist and backing vocalist. I have played numerous gigs with the band the most memorable of which was a sell out concert at the 02 Academy.

The strength and variety of my portfolio won me a place at SAE Institute Oxford in 2011 where I have gained hands on experience with a variety of different consoles (Neve Genesys, Neve 88D, SSL AWS 900, TLA VTC and Digidesign ICON) and my knowledge of the recording process has developed substantially.

I now have a BSc Audio Production.

Being sound engineer for a number of groups has given me the confidence to take on more difficult projects such as recording an eighteen-piece band and working on various live sessions.

I am now a fully qualified sound engineer, videographer and photographer, available for projects large or small. I can work on a freelance contract or full-time to suit the needs of the client.
